My Easter was pretty decent though it was like almost every other day. I spent a lot of my time working on the April Fool’s issue of “the Globe.” But something was missing.
I forgot that I had won a contest put on by the Health and Wellness program at SLCC. I went down to their office and found out the Easter Bunny did leave me an Easter basket!
So when I ask a dumb question about why someone my age needs something that is usually reserved for little kids, I just have to remember two things:
- Walt Disney said, “That’s the real trouble with the world, too many people grow up.”
- Adults are just grown up kids. We tend to forget that because our perspective changes, but in the end, we are a copy of our younger selves. Children are not little adults. It is the exact opposite.
Thank you Health and Wellness for reminding me of who I am. It is always a joy to be able to return to childhood.
