Notes from Lou Ferrigno's talk at Salt Lake Comic Con 2013
Lou Ferrigno had just come back from shooting The Scorpion King in Romania. He plays a bad guy that you wouldn’t like when he’s angry in the film. He had enough time to accept his Lifetime Achievement Award at Muscle Beach and to get Stan Lee to commit to Salt Lake Comic Con 2013. (See Ferrigno tell the story.)
Ferrigno was excited for the Salt Lake Comic Con and loved the crowds enthusiasm.
“This is the way it should be,” says Ferrigno as the crowd cheers his arrival.
Ferrigno is best known for his television portrayal of the Incredible Hulk.
“I love the character,” says Ferrigno. “He was sensitive… He’s green… He’s lovable… I was the Hulk my whole life.”
Other Notes:
“We’re fascinated with superheroes because it’s about power,” says Ferrigno.
“Public speaking is the number one fear in life. I’m telling you this because I want to calm you down,” says Ferrigno to a nervous audience member having trouble asking a question.
“There’s no psyching out,” says Ferrigno about body building. “Whenever you’re doing solo competition, there’s always rivalry.”
“You can’t BS him (Trump).”
Ferrigno is a reserve deputy with the LA Sheriff’s Department.
