Saturday's Proposed Schedule, First Draft
Saturday’s D23 Expo seems a little more straight forward. There are still a couple of TBA items and a couple of conflicts, but most of the panels I want to see are not in a conflict large enough to make me change my mind.
“The Walt Disney Studios Live Action Films” panel will most likely be chock full of celebrities and previews. I will also have to leave my camera behind, probably. This is the Main Stage, it is the first panel there for the day, and it will probably require waiting in line for sooo long – but that’s where Disney Park experience comes in handy. There is a nice panel on “The Power of the Princess” (Read my thoughts on Disney Princesses) and the panel on “Marc Davis goes to WED Imagineering” would also be great panels. “The Hidden Art of Disney: A behind the scenes look at the ‘They Drew as They Pleased’ book series” could be a gem as well.
“The Walt Disney Parks and Resorts” panel runs into the DuckTales panel, but that’s the way it goes sometimes. I am really excited to see what the parks have in store for the future. Maybe they will make an announcement about Disneyland’s Tomorrowland.
However, the #1 thing that I want to see is “A Kiss Goodnight with Disney Legends Richard Sherman and Floyd Norman.” Yes, it conflicts with “Yesterday’s Tomorrow: Disney’s magical mid-century” and I have seen Sherman perform before – But seriously, Sherman and Norman are legends. They both have movies about them and were instrumental in Disney’s success.
