Former Disney star and husband heat up Northwest Comic Fest with cunning little tales and secrets
A. Damsel, the nom de plume for a former Disney star and her husband, heated up the adults only Saturday evening panel at Northwest Comic Fest with their honest discussion about love, sex and intimacy in the 21st century. The NSFW discussion included topics like male lingerie, restraints in the bedroom, cunnilingus and their upcoming book Cunning Little Tales of Midnight and Vixenry.
Damsel says that 50 Shades of Grey took its cues from Twilight fan fiction and brought it into the erotica genre. The book is the worst thing she had ever read. “What is this porn for lawyers?” says Damsel. “We could write this in our sleep.” While she liked the sex, they didn’t like the relationships. Damsel started with the idea that she would write something just as bad to make fun of 50 Shades, but her husband thought they should shoot for something better. “Bring love and sex back together; that’s our mission,” says Damsel. Cunning Little Tales is a series of stories set in different eras within an overarching framework of soulmates who wander through time. The female character is written so that every woman can see herself represented in the book. It is scheduled for release on Sept. 1, 2015. A. Damsel’s first book Cunning Little Secrets: Sex Tips and Bedroom Etiquette was written as a guide to behavior for Millennials, who Damsel feared were getting too much of their information from porn, which is just acting and fake. Relationships can be loving and sexy. “Nice guys finish last in the bedroom,” says Damsel. “If we keep putting that image out there, girls are going to think good sex comes from bad relationships.” To keep the attraction and excitement alive, Damsel says that it is important to continue to put time into the relationship and the sex. It’s okay for men to wear Ninja Turtle pajamas when they are just lounging around the house, but when it comes to wanting to have sex, they should change into something nicer. “Don’t give a girl a present without wrapping it,” says Damsel. “Mood really matters.” Lighting should be done with candles or reds and pinks. CFLs are great for the environment but bad for sex according to Damsel. The man’s behavior when using restraints with a woman in the bedroom depends on who the woman thinks she is. If she is the bad girl, she may want to be spanked. However, if she is the good girl, the restraints offer her freedom; she doesn’t have to be polite about how long her partner goes down on her because she is no longer in control. One of the techniques that Damsel writes about for performing oral sex on a woman is the ice cream lick. Using the wide, flat of the tongue to stimulate the genital region. “You can have very, very sexy relationships,” says Damsel, and they can be healthy, too. |
