Change is constant at Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World is in a constant state of change - things
come, go and return. It is one of the
reasons why every visit will be different.
Whether the parade gets a face lift a favorite ride is reimagined or
closed, or Disney decides to rebuild a new land or build a new park. Guests can always expect something to be
different on each trip.
Recent examples include:
For all of the changes, guests can also expect some things to never change. It is the unchanging parts of Walt Disney World that allow guests to feel comfortable with that which is new. The entertainment will always be top notch, and guest service will be the focus for the company.
However, what really doesn't change is the feeling that people experience when meting their favorite characters. Whether it is the first time or the hundredth time, there is something about meeting Mickey Mouse and his friends that few other feelings can compare with. Even adults fall into this category, and it is that innocence, which can be found on every trip with very little searching if one is open to it, that makes the return so sweet.
Recent examples include:
- The Enchanted Tiki Room, which became the Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management and has since returned to close to its original form.
- Captain EO was removed and returned after Michael Jackson’s death – it too is different from its original form, in that the theater no longer supports some of the 4-D effects of the original
- Fantasyland is currently undergoing one of the biggest reimaginings the park has ever seen. Many will open Dec. 6, 2012, but some attractions, like the Dwarf Mine ride will take another year or two to complete.
