Get ready for Salt Lake Comic Con 2014
Tickets prices go up tonight
August 25, 2014
With Salt Lake Comic Con a little over a week away, the time to binge watch TV shows grows short. For anyone who has a job, getting in a full season of 20 episodes may prove far too daunting, especially with costumes to be made and panel schedules to plan.
Fortunately, that panel schedule can help you narrow down what you want to focus on for the coming week. Once you have chosen your panels, you can go to Netflix, or your favorite entertainment service, and put in the appropriate search criteria. If you are going to see Ernie Hudson, take this next week to find out what he has done besides Ghostbusters and Congo. Going to the “Sherlock Holmes in the 21st Century” panel, it’s time to watch Season 3 of the BBC series or revisit the two movies starring Robert Downey Jr.
It is important to remember that celebrity schedules change, and when they do, Salt Lake Comic Con will change its schedule to accommodate the celebrity. While no one wants to miss a favorite celebrity, work for the actor can get in the way of appearances. The good news is that this often means that Salt lake Comic Con will already have a guest lined up for the next event. Ernie Hudson was originally slated for FanX but had to reschedule for this coming Salt Lake Comic Con.
The crew at Salt Lake Comic Con have put together a special show for Utah and anyone who is able to get to the Salt Palace. With Utah favorites Cary Elwes and Jon Heder, you can expect the building to be filled to capacity with awesome people looking to let their Geek side go free. Come join the fun, and get your tickets early because the prices go up at midnight MST. I look forward to seeing you at Salt Lake Comic Con.

Here at penguinate.com, I will be doing my best to get to as many panels and stars as I can. I will write them up or post notes about them as soon as I can, including during the evenings after the Con. I will also post links to the examiner.com articles from Will Cohen and Aldo Gomez if they publish any. Videos may be embedded in the stories or linked to YouTube. It will look a lot like what I did in 2013 and what I did for FanX.
There is a reason for the unbridled enthusiasm that Salt Lake Comic Con in particular has inspired. Once you experience what Farr and his team have put together, you will realize that they do a top notch job at providing an awesome and multi-layered experience.
Of course that means that for the next Comic Con experience, you will want to get your VIP tickets early. They are a tremendous bargain with benefits that are far superior to their cost. I wonder if Salt Lake Comic Con will have any for sale for FanX…
