Fantasyland is the place with the most attractions. Many of them are family friendly and throwback to an early Disneyland Anaheim. Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs and Pinocchio’s Voyage fall into this category. Nice diversions with less waiting time than the other attractions in the area. Le Carrousel du Lancelot is a lot like its counterpart in Anaheim, and Dumbo the Flying Elephant is no different. Go for a spin on the Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups, also the same in both countries. Casey Jr. goes around Le Pays des Contes de Fees.
Peter Pan’s Flight is also a throwback, but it is important to note that this ride has lines as long or longer than its Anaheim Counterpart. It also has a FASTPASS option. Take advantage of the Magic Morning Hours to get the most out of this ride, and experience it as it was before the Anaheim changes took effect.
No trip to a Disney Park is complete without a visit to the mouse himself. You can find Mickey Mouse in Fantasyland most hours of the day at the Meet Mickey Mouse theater. The line can be long, but there are cartoons shown on the big screen to entertain the young and the young at heart. Greeting the Big Cheese is like meeting an old friend no matter what language you speak.
The Princess Pavilion is by invitation only. So do not expect to line up to meet the princesses, or rather expect to line up more than once. The invitations are given out in the morning, and people start lining up at 8 a.m., during the Magic Morning Hours, to get their invitations, even though the invitations are not distributed until 10 a.m. Get in that line or hope to see the princesses in the parade, a show or somewhere else in the park.
