- Volunteer. It doesn’t matter what kind of organization – just get involved.
- Donate. “Organizations are really good at leveraging your money into volunteer services,” says Hyvonen.
- Read the paper. Know what is going on and be active in your community. Journalists are your connection to what is going on in political circles. Without them, government will be left unchecked, and politicians will do what they want not what we want.
- Vote. In a democracy, our vote is our voice. If we don’t tell politicians what we want with our vote, our voice and opinions won’t matter.
- Support businesses that are community minded. Businesses that provide health care to their employees and give back to the community are good choices. Those that are trying to create a sustainable Utah are better choices.
