The Top 5 Muppets
This list only considers those Muppets associated with “the Muppet Show” and its movies. It did not consider any other Jim Henson or Muppets work, including but not limited to “Sesame Street,” “Farscape,” “the Dark Crystal,” or “Fraggle Rock.”
5. Waldorf and Statler – the 2 old coots in the balcony who always give Fozzie a hard time and talk about how bad the show is… Those guys are hilarious.
4. Fozzie Bear – Insecure and bearly funny. You gotta love a punny bear.
3. Animal – NO DRUMS! NO DRUMS! JACK BLACK SAY NO DRUMS! The unpredictable drummer provides the backbone for Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.
2. Miss Piggy – Sassy, strong and with a judo chop that can send people and Muppets into next week, Miss Piggy is the charismatic, plus-sized, leading lady diva crazily obsessed with the Muppet in the #1 spot.
1. Kermit the Frog – He is the Muppet. The one that everyone else looks up to. He keeps his cool through every disaster, opens the show and was Muppets creator Jim Henson’s alter ego. It’s not easy being green, but Kermit makes it look like it is.
Honorable mention: Gonzo and the Swedish Chef
