Pizzagate: a Grimm Fairytale
This really happened!
Once upon a time, there was a fabulous nation ruled by peace and democracy. Even while the majority ruled, they found ways to compromise with those in the minority so that no one’s rights were trampled. The nation was one of the richest in the world, and those who had the most wealth saw no problem with sharing it, so the nation grew in power, peace and prosperity.
What most people didn’t know was that the nation relied on a magical stone for its tranquility. The Peace Agate was a gift from days long past, and it was said that its warm, glowing, orange color was the milk of human kindness in tangible form. Of course, like any item, the Peace Agate could be used for evil.
When it was stolen from the fort that held it more precious than gold, the wealthy began to hoard the profits they made from the hard work of the people they paid a pittance to. Politicians, who tie their history to the freeing of the slaves of the country, used policies and bold lies to hide that they had enslaved another portion of the nation through poverty and the false ideology that everyone who worked hard enough could become rich.
Soon 8 men had as much money as half the world, and they continued to hoard that wealth for their own personal security. The population of the nation grew disgruntled with the leaders of the country as economic indicators rose to new heights but did not benefit the people who made, served and provided the labor for the economy.
A populist rose to power who guaranteed that he would make the country great again. Instead, he divided the nation further and hired cronies to further consolidate his wealth and power. He stoked the fears of the population blaming foreigners for atrocious acts of terrorism, murder and rape. He used his rhetoric to wreak havoc among the people of the nation that had once benefited from being different AND indivisible with justice and liberty for all.
The fires of war were fanned at home and abroad as he alienated every country and sowed the seeds of mistrust in everyone. Neighbors reported neighbors. Supporters shouted “go back where you came from” to people that had lived in the country for a long time. The sides clashed in physical and virtual confrontations while accusing each other of the same things. The chaos was frightening and further cemented the orange-haired leader’s power while dividing the nation more than ever and hiding the truth from everyone.
Some cling to the hope that the Peace Agate will be found. Others, who remember seeing the Peace Agate recall that its color was the same as the hair color of the populist…
