Find out 'What Happened to Monday?'
Then ask if it will happen to you
I saw this in Russian; something may have been lost in the translation.
Netflix’ What Happened to Monday? is a violent, surprising science fiction dystopia, in which Noomi Rapace brilliantly plays 7 different characters who all happen to be sisters. If you don’t want spoilers, read no further. Otherwise continue below the trailer…

As good science fiction is supposed to do, What Happened to Monday? confronts a very real threat that most people would rather hide from. In this future possible, overpopulation and climate change threatened the world and a savior rose to solve the problem. With slogans of One Family, One Child and the promise that those children who were taken would be put in a cryogenic sleep until better times rolled around, a woman and her company rose to power, and the world was saved!
I did mention this was a dystopia, right? Much along the lines of Logan’s Run, things are not what they seem. The identical septuplets who had survived for over 30 years by each one living outside one day a week and sharing a single identity are betrayed and must fight for their very survival.
There are twists, and there is violence and one scene of graphic nudity. But the power of this film lies in the Rapace’s acting ability and the audience being confronted with a possible scenario that could come from the very dangers the human race faces in the present day. Find out what happened to Monday and then decide if that is the kind of world you want to move toward.
