Incheon Airport Hotel: Efficient and friendly
If you had to judge the city of Seoul by one experience at the Incheon Airport Hotel, you might think that everyone was efficient, friendly and polite. After calling to get the free shuttle service and finding ourselves waiting for a light to cross the street to get to the shuttle, I expected to have to wait for the next van, even though I had waved to the driver and he responded. Instead, he waited for us, and we were on our way to the hotel.
Check in was amazingly quick. A couple of initials and a signature while our baggage was unloaded from the vehicle, and we had our room key and were up to our room. While I value efficiency, the check-in process was pleasant as well. There was no lack of manners or pleasantries. The room was just what we needed after the Seattle to Seoul flight.
The next morning, we went down to breakfast. We didn’t have a food coupon, but the woman called to the front desk. We ate from the buffet that included braised chicken, a weirdly sweet potato puree mixed with carrots, fried rice, vegetable soup, seaweed patty, fried eggs, toast with peanut butter and jelly, and cereal. We paid for the meal upstairs after having eaten. It was so much more convenient and easier than it would have been in many other hotels.
Approximately 5 minutes from the Incheon Airport, the Incheon Airport Hotel is worth leaving the airport for. The price is right, the service is great, and the location is convenient.
