Writings related to 'the Twilight Zone'
Rod Serling’s seminal series is the master of the twist ending. Serling wanted to write about social issues but found that censors and sponsors would eliminate anything too controversial. Serling turned to science fiction because an alien could say what a democrat or a republican could not. Serling sold the rights to The Twilight Zone never believing that they would be worth more than they were when CBS purchased them.
Serling’s daughter, Anne, is a part of Rod Serling Books, which is reprinting Serling’s original novelizations of The Twilight Zone and Night Gallery as well as other books. Rod Serling Books is also looking for authors to publish in the “Rod Serling” genre. The links below will take you to essays inspired by the works of Rod Serling.
