'Winchester: the House that ghosts built' looks like it'll be scary
In the last 2 years, I have been to the Winchester Mystery House twice. Once on my honeymoon with my wife and once with my wife and daughter – both of whom are from Russia, so seeing something like the Winchester Mystery House is and interesting oddity. Both of my grandmothers live nearby, and I lived in the area until 7th grade.
When I heard they were doing a movie based on the Winchester Mystery House and Sarah Winchester, I was nonplussed. How exciting could a documentary be about an eccentric old recluse and the workers she paid to keep building things, especially when no one actually knows why she did it. The 2 competing theories are:
Whatever her reasons, a movie based on her life sounded boring, even with Helen Mirren in the lead role.
