Kingsman makes trip to kentucky stylishly violent and funny
I saw this in Russian. Something may have been lost in translation.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle is full of stylized violence and beautifully choreographed fight scenes. The action is over the top as is the gore and villain. Can a sequel be better than the original? In this case, the answer appears to be a resounding yes.
The only problem that Kingsman faces is one of pacing. The action scenes are amazing and often, they feel like something that wouldn’t be out of place in a James Bond film if Bond were still cool. The fights are innovative. It’s the in between time when things seem to lag a bit as there is exposition or a henchman involved, who needs to further establish that he is evil.
Julianne Moore is delicious as the villain Poppy, and her ploy to kill all of the drug users in the world allows the film to make a political statement. Do you let them all die, even those who are taking the drugs for good reasons, or do you legalize the drug trade (which from a profit margin perspective would be terrible for a person who sells drugs, but that isn’t Poppy’s motivation)?
No matter which you choose, Kingsman: The Golden Circle is something that you should see. It is the comedy that puts it over the top. Go see this movie. (If you want a special spoiler, check after the trailer below.)

Elton John may have the best role of the film playing himself. He is hilariously funny and surprisingly bad ass. His small role alone is worth the price of admission for this well-made film. Given the comments of a certain politician, John’s role is also timely though he doesn’t prove himself to be a Rocket Man. Saturday’s all right for fighting; apparently, it isn’t the only night a fight is good.
