“The Pirate Union” should be published next. This rollicking sea adventure features a passive pirate captain facing the forces of bureaucracy and a new weapon that is destined to destroy Swash and life as the pirates know it. A comedy, “the Pirate Union” was written at a time when I had to find a way to keep my cool while dealing with ridiculously stupid bureaucracy and the one person who enforced it in college. Fortunately, I had friends to help.
If you like pirates, comedy and cultural references wrapped up in a sift satire package, you should love “the Pirate Union.” My editor said it was kind of like Monty Python and Douglas Adams! I noticed some Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett elements as well.
While I already have the paperback editions of “Disneyland Is Creativity: 25 Tips for Becoming More Creative” waiting for me at my business address, the electronic version should be available on Amazon for preorder soon. It will be officially released on June 2, the opening day for Lilac City Comicon 2018.
Lilac City Comicon 2018 was the impetus for getting this book out and available for everyone. The organizer Nathan O’Brien invited me to do a panel for the Spokane Comic Convention last year. This seemed like the best choice of subjects. Disney appeals to some of the comicon goers, and I have a Master’s in Creativity and Innovation! Plus, I love Disneyland. Walt’s dream has been a source of joy and inspiration in my life. I can only hope that my book will be the same for other people.
If you want to see the presentation for “Disneyland Is Creativity,” be sure to get your tickets to Lilac City Comicon; VIPs will get a special discount from my booth! If you are going to Lilac City Comicon, join our Patreon at any level for even more discounts! Either way, I hope to see you there!
