Today’s day of training was a little more mundane than yesterday’s. You know, insofar as watching a Donald Duck short and getting free shoes can be called mundane. Mom took me shopping before I left for Walt Disney World. We started off with a list of things that we needed, but it wasn’t written down. Mom listed off the items I would need and shoes was the last thing on her list. I told her that Disney recommended that we wait to purchase shoes. She said, “Okay.” We went to another store, and she says, “Oh, and we need to get you shoes.” Again, I said that Disney said to wait to purchase shoes. After looking at some other items, mom says, “And we still need to get you shoes.” “Sounds good, mom.” She looked at me, laughed and says “Why do I keep thinking you need shoes?” “I don’t know, mom, but if it is that important to you, we’ll go get the shoes.” Mom got me some Rockports. | Disney has their own shoe source where I got a pair of New Balance shoes. They are lighter than the other shoes that were there. Today’s energy seemed to be lacking, but that may be in part due to the amount of time we spent on running through computer-based training modules that were self-paced. Tomorrow, I start my first day at Saratoga Springs Resort. It’s gonna be another early one. |
