How many years have you been attending Lilac City Comicon?
2018 will be my third year selling at Lilac City Comicon.
What is one of your favorite memories?
I’ve had so much fun over the years at LCCC that it’s difficult to just choose one good memory! I think what stands out to me the most was 2016, my first year vending there. That was actually my first year vending at all. I had submitted some artwork for the Sprocket comic that comes out every year. It was so amazing getting to read the comic and see my work in something published for the first time alongside so many other fantastic artists. I feel the comic is such a unique and great way to build community even before the con begins!
What are you bringing to this 2018’s convention?
At my booth you will find creepy things, cute things, and all things in between. I have a wide selection of different merchandise from prints, charms, pins, comics, buttons, and more!
What’s new at your booth?
More than half of my booth is new merchandise I haven’t brought to Spokane yet! Be sure to stop by my booth to see my new enamel pins and to read my original comic, Star Child!
What’s the best advice you have for fans attending LCCC2018?
Even though conventions are fun, be sure to take care of yourself by drinking lots of water and taking breaks as needed! Other than that, just enjoy yourself! Make some friends, see some celebrities, and discover some new artists in the AA. After all, the con only lasts a weekend so make the most of it!
Who would your dream guest be and why?
I think my dream guest would have to be Uma Thurman. When I was a child I had the BIGGEST crush on her because of her performance as Poison Ivy in the 1997 film Batman & Robin. I was six years old when that movie came out and I would sit in front of the TV and watch the VHS over and over again. I still revisit that movie and I get so many nostalgic feelings. Even 20 years later, Ivy’s fashion sense is still ON POINT.
What’s your favorite thing about going to cons?
I always love going to cons to meet with like-minded people. I love discussing fandoms, OC’s, and art styles with fellow artists and fans.
