While no game looks winnable after a team shoots 29.4 percent, the Jazz play Toronto on Nov. 9. Toronto has four losses on the season and could give the Jazz their first win. Denver should beat the Jazz on Nov. 11 though Denver also has four losses on the season. The Jazz meet New Orleans on Nov. 13. The Pelicans are at .500. All three games are in Salt Lake giving the Jazz their best chance of winning before the team meets the Spurs on Nov. 15.
Boston may have started something they have been trying to avoid. After beating the hapless Jazz, who should be the laughing stock of the league at this point, Boston won a game against Orlando Magic. A two game winning streak may put the Celtics in bad standing for the end of the season lottery. Though they should remember that the Spurs had the fourth best chance at Duncan.
The Magic have been impressive of late with a 3 and 3 record and wins against the Nets and the Clippers. It looks like the Nets are doing their best to keep the bad teams from looking as bad as they really are. Of course, New Jersey, er, Brooklyn players are still trying to jell with one another. Still, Washington laid the beat down in an overtime win.
New Orleans beat the Lakers giving the other L.A. team a glimmer of hope when it comes to the riggin’ for Wiggins. The purple and gold now have four losses on the season.
The Sacramento Kings lost to the Portland Trailblazers to give the Kings a 1 and 4 record. Phoenix beat Denver to tie the Nuggets with the Kings.
