The Bucks are at 3 and 13 and can match the 15 losses in their next two games against Boston (7 – 12) on Dec. 3 and Detroit (7 – 10) on Dec. 4. While Detroit should easily hand the Bucks a loss, the Boston game is a toss-up. Boston is playing better as of late and is second in a weak Atlantic Division. It’s just hard to overcome a reputation. Detroit should be playing better than their record indicates.
After losing to the New Orleans Pelicans, in spite of Anthony Davis breaking his hand, the New York Knicks are also at 3 and 13. There next two games are against the Brooklyn Nets, who have been devastated by injuries, and the Orlando Magic, who are at the bottom of their division.
New York vs. Brooklyn was supposed to be a battle between two teams fighting for a shot at the conference if not at the title. Instead, it looks like a fight between two teams fighting to get out of the root cellar after finding out that everything in it is rotten. Potatoes can be pretty pungent when they start to decay.
The best hope that New York and Brooklyn have is that the entire division sucks pickled eggs. Toronto is at the top with a 6 and 10 record. Any team that puts together a 4-game win streak will be at the top looking down on every other team in the Atlantic. In fact, the Knicks will face Boston and the Cavs for games three and four. They’ve just got to put a couple of wins together.
