While the Nets were expecting better, it looked like Boston was expecting worse when the season started. Aside from a couple of anomalies, the Celtics have also reached 10 losses albeit with 5 wins. While Brad Stevens continues to irk fantasy players and probably real players, it is still unclear how far the Celts are willing to go when it comes to tanking.
Utah is by far the winner of the Draft Day Lottery at this point. The Jazz are so bad that I would put them against the Salt Lake Community College women’s volleyball team, No. 4 in the nation, and expect the Bruins to cover the spread. (And I am afraid that I might be selling the volleyball team short.)
The Jazz are so bad that Radium Stadium has decided to play Michael Jackson ironically. The Jazz are so bad that they score 13, 17, 13 in the first three quarters against the OKC Thunder – a game that Russell Westbrook sat out. They did have a 30 point fourth quarter, in which Kevin Durant did not play. 14 losses and 1 win.
The Chicago Bulls are mess since losing Derrick Rose to a knee injury. They will visit the Jazz on Monday, which will present both teams with a golden opportunity. The Jazz might not want to win it, but they could. Or, the more likely scenario, the Bulls use this game as a chance to get back to what they were last year. That might be a little harder without Nate Robinson, but it is against the Jazz.
Cleveland and Milwaukee each have 10 losses with the Cavs having 4 wins and the Bucks having 2 wins.
Indiana, San Antonio and Portland each have 12 wins with the Pacers and Sours having only 1 loss and the Blazers with 2.
People in Rip City are still wondering if this team is for real. They overcame a huge deficit against the Golden State Warriors yesterday. That may not answer any of the questions, but with the Knicks, the Suns and the Lakers up next, it is possible that the Blazers meet the Pacers on a winning streak.
Unfortunately for the Blazers, the Lakers usually do something to them that few other teams can. Call it the Rasheed Wallace hangover if you want, but it happened long before that.
What do you think will happen first? Will the Jazz get a win or will the Pacers, Spurs or Blazers lose a game first? Leave a comment to cast your vote.
