Sung by Jimmy “the Schnoz” Durante in the TV special, Frosty the Snowman was originally recorded by Gene Autry in 1950. The only version worth hearing, however, is the one that Fiona Apple recorded. I love Apple for her openness and the honesty that she expresses through her music. Her voice is slow like honey and heavy with mood though this song has a different mood than much of her music. |
