How many years have you been attending Lilac City Comicon?
The team behind Hammered Heroes has actually been attending LCCC off and on for at least the last 7 years now. We are a mix or filmmakers, artists, and producers, so in the past, we actually attended the convention to promote and showcase our web-series, and last year we attended to promote and show off “Hammered Heroes” in its earliest stages of development.
What is one of your favorite memories?
For me personally, getting a chance to have face to face time with people who enjoy some of the same hobbies as myself is always great, and those are some of my favorite memories. It’s always an amazing experience to meet someone who may have never heard of “Hammered Heroes” but, by the end of the convention, has become a passionate supporter of the project. That always make me feel like I’m actually creating something that people can enjoy and get
behind, and that’s just a cool experience.
What are you bringing to this 2018’s convention?
For 2018, we are bringing our Drinking Card Battle Game: Hammered Heroes. Along with the game itself, we will be playing a few rounds of the game with people during a short presentation — or at our booth. And we will be screening some of the animated video content and short films for Hammered Heroes at our booth as well.
What’s new at your booth?
This year we have a few new animated shorts to show off — but mainly, with the success of our Kickstarter, we will have the official game itself — which anyone at the convention should be able to either buy a copy of (if our production times out correctly), or Pre-Order right at the booth, so they can get a copy as soon as all the games land in Spokane.
What’s the best advice you have for fans attending LCCC2018?
Honestly, enjoy the experience. I always get a kick out of the convention, and I feel like it’s the perfect size, it’s not so big that you can’t experience everything you want to, and it’s not so small that you can’t find something you’re looking for.
Who would your dream guest be and why?
Adrian Paul of “Highlander: The Series” fame. That show has a special place in my heart, and he just seems like a cool dude.
What’s your favorite thing about going to cons?
I love showing off content and finding people who appreciate it. Basically, sharing your art with the world is always just a fun experience, and cons are a great place to do that.
