The Tinkerbell Half Marathon is just a few short days away! There is still so much to do and so little time to get it all done. My nephew has volunteered to be on the chEAR squad for the event. It will be interesting to hear what all is involved with being on the chEAR squad and how that goes for him.
I am looking forward to spending a long weekend in Anaheim and Disneyland and completing the Tinkerbell Half Marathon. My expectations are to complete the event with a better time than last year’s time. It has been a whole year since I was last at Disneyland. The time has gone by quickly.
Two of my kitties need medication daily so I had to arrange for a real pet sitter and not rely on friends or neighbors for this trip. The sitters that I chose are ones that were recommended by a friend that is familiar with them. The person that will be taking care of the kitties is coming over Thursday evening to meet with me, see the kitties, where everything is and discuss the medications Koko and Kona have to take.
Koko had blood pressure issues and Kona has an overactive thyroid. One more of the kitties needs medication too but she only gets it once every four days. Poor Princess has IBS and takes steroids for that. The kitties have more medications on the kitchen counter than I have supplements!
There is nothing more, at this point in time, that I can do to become more physically fit for the Tinkerbell Half Marathon. I can only hope that I have done enough over the last six months to decrease the amount of time it takes to complete the race and that my legs will not hurt quite as much afterwards.
