The last couple of weeks at work have been very busy and exhausting. I had temporarily taken on another’s work load as that person was taking a one week vacation. Even though it was not the entire scope of the job, it was still too much with the other responsibilities I have there.
It would also have been helpful to have more than one day of training as that particular job involves a lot of tasks. All that leads to the fact that I did not go to the gym as often as I have been. I did go do the circuit training a few times and used the treadmill several times.
The Youfit coach that did a really great working with everyone on the circuit is no longer there. She was one of the few if not the only female Youfit coach.
Are those just excuses? Maybe. Perhaps there is now a psychological block about going to the gym since there has been no measurable results.
Now I have another excuse. I have been extremely ill for the last 3 days. Everything from the neck up hurts. It has been soup (tomato and chicken noodle), grilled cheese sandwiches, hot tea and lots of sleep to combat whatever it is.
Training session number 7 had to be rescheduled from Oct. 7 to Oct. 14. Back to work tomorrow and if past illnesses are any indication of how I will feel by the end of the day, I will be exhausted. Hopefully, I will be feeling better by the end of the week and will go to the gym again.
The goal is still to finish the Tinkerbell Half Marathon under the allotted time.
